I hope you find what I found years 3&4 you tend to forget about it, it's just normal and the next thing you know it's month 54, that's when you find your own event horizon..

Well done - it does go fast if you just forget it and get on with your life.
Mine has finished after nearly 6 years from the day I realised I was in a mess when no one would lend me any more money and knew through the guilt and tears it was time to do something.
Was it all worth it - yes a million times yes - I cringe when I remember the awful debt collection phone calls when my creditors realised they weren't getting their money back.
And when you get that much cherished completion certificate that tells you and your creditors that its over it's like winning the lottery ( I imagine - no Mr IP I never won the lottery) but better.
Stick in there - but don't let it stop you enjoying and loving.

Don't get me wrong - my IVA has gone quite smoothly and I'm glad I did it but I can't wait for it to be over now.

I just see it as a loan or similar that I have to pay for a set period of time, one payment covers all etc. I've no idea how I managed all those years with various things going out, I know for sure it's been a learning curve for me and I don't ever want to go back to that situation by choice. x
IVA final payment left the bank on the 26th January 2013...looking forward to a debt free future.

Well done Foggy. After my next payment I'll be half way there. I didn't think to celebrate being a third of the way through [:D]

gwdihw, we are at the same place, I did celebrate a third through,

I am finding this 3rd year is dragging a bit though, seems like I am trying to walk through treacle getting to the end of each month.
If life is what you make it, I must have been in a strange mood when I made mine

Same here Peejayel. Was finding it ok until the last few months. Since my annual review in March my pension contributions have gone up so my monthly wage is lower, I couldn't get a cheaper deal on my car insurance and my gas and electricity have gone up. Just about managing but was in a much better position this time last year. Never mind, we'll get there!

Good work! :)

Everyday closeer to the end gets better. :)

I can't believe how fast time has gone, i've not been on here for AGES and now some of you are MUCH nearer the end than i remember you being (lesley).

It's awesome to see people well on their way to achieving their IVA goal.
