Hi, looking for some advice. I recently paid my last payment into my iva 1st May 2012 after 68 payments and currently waiting on Grant Thornton completion. Next week will be when my 6th year is up so I have decided to view my credit report from experian. 3 of my previous loans have a default date of Aug 2006 when the Iva started. One does not show a default date and the other is 2009? Surley all of them should state 2006 so they would clear in the next week? is this something GT should have done?
Is they're any way I can get them to all show the same date so they can clear after 6 years? From reading some reports people get updated records set back for another x amount of years.

Hi,
Your default dates should be no later than the date of the IVA approval. If there any later than that then you should write to the creditor concerned and tell them to remove any defaults after that date.

I am in a similar situation with a couple of our creditors. We will surely have to do the same when the time comes.
An IVA is a long hard road but valuable lessons have been learnt along the way. Now looking forward to enjoying a debt free future!

Thanks for the help. My only concern is getting in touch with the creditor are that poster's have advised they have had there credit file updated but the amendment then takes another 6 years to remove from your file. Is this true?

Gosh this sounds like a blasted minefield as well, i have this privilege in just over 11 months time to sort out and i have been told by someone it can take ages but just be patient! John, i can't see how it stays on your file for a further 6 years, i'd definately wait for your completion certificate and then write your letter, Mattyboy did some great templates and how to go about it, maybe Admin can repost them for you, good luck. xxxxxxx
Om shanti, namesté, good luck to all who are embarking on the IVA journey, it isn't always an easy one but the outcome is the best.
IVA COMPLETED August 2012, received Completion certificate 18.4.13.

Also i have just noticed one of my accounts hasn't even been defaulted it just advises 6 payments late. Yet this was included in my iva in 2006.
I just hope the rest get removed soon and it looks like my only option is to start contacting the creditors.
