Many thanks Melanie...we both felt VERY lucky to have found this forum and your team at the right time back in 2007...you ensured we took the right solution and made our journey possible!
Lol although I will not miss being in an IVA per se, I will perhaps miss the pressure to keep such a close eye on my finances!

However, that said, I've learnt a lot from the experience and have a totally changed my conceptions of personal finance (for the better!) and so will always budget, save and invest for the future. Something I will be teaching my daughters, who are now 8 and 10 (poor them when they stay at Daddys..."Right kids, time to play Pay Day...again!").
Orchid5, hope you get your CC soon and yeah I can totally relate to the buzz of purchasing stuff on a debit rather than credit card and having a little spending spree after the IVA completed. Throughout my IVA, I was not used to spending much on clothes, so after my last IVA payment, I went and had some retail therapy and...spent £130 on clothes in one day! I felt soooo guilty and uncomfortable as it was something I just wasn't used to doing...but I thought..stop being sooo negative, this is a personal reward for keeping with it for 5 years! So....I then booked a cottage in Wales for me and the kids...which was fab (except the weather of course)!
Anyway, now the spending spree is out of the way...I'll be saving for a deposit to climb back up the housing ladder!
Thank you all for the kind words of support...and wish you all the best of luck on your own IVA journeys!
