Hi all. We completed our IVA 12 months ago, and have our completion certificate.
My hubby is now looking for a new car - however this will need to be done through finance. We went to xomone who deals with people with a bad credit history. They were really good. We were honest about the IVA, and then they told us that when they had credit-checked him, there was an outstanding/default on our credit report. He gave us the amounts, and we worked out this is from Black horse, my hubbys creditor who was included in the IVA.
Now, we have been receiving statements from Black Horse (but not from any other creditors). The statments always say we owe money.
Anyways, my hubby called Black Horse today and they say it says defaulted because they haven't received any money from DFD. my hubby explained they should be claiming the money from DFD, but Black Horse weren't having any of it, and even said we could set uo a standing order to pay back what we owe - I don't think so. We have paid the IVA in full!
What would you advise?
Its now time to start living and to make some some wonderful memories!

Hi flow.

Do you have your final paperwork which should detail who has been paid. If so.the check it.

I'd phone DFD as well.

Hav you written to their crddit controler and added a copy of your certificate?!?! Failing that get on to DFD and see if they can chase any payment outstanding their end, it could be a case of blackhouse never claimed their share from DFD when the final payments were being made....if not then its their tuff luck!!

IVA artisan you know exactly what to do And have fun doing it! Also and it goes without saying clear down your credit history if your IVA 72 months has passed and don't try and get credit until you do you'll have a much lower apr and a better chance of getting credit and the less searches etc etc and of course a Noddle credit file is free

We have called DFD. They said that their records show all our money has been distributed and all creditors paid. They have advised us to email the completion certificate to Black Horse.
So, we have called Black Horse to get the email address, but they don't accept emails.
DFD told hubby that once BH had received the certificate our account should be closed, but when hubby said this to BH, they said 'we don't know yet whether it will be closed'.

Artemis - DFD state that all money paid onto the iva has now been claimed. We have explained this to BH, but they say we still owe it.
I am a bit concerned they will expect us to pay, even though we have already!
