My husband had an IVA which has finished and he has a certificate to show that it's all finalised.
We want to buy a house (renting at present) and we have a large cash deposit. We'd need a mortgage for about £50k.
Our bank has refused us because they won't lend to anyone who has previously had an IVA.
Where's the best place to go from here so we don't pay over the odds?
Thank you

Ryan in the 'ask the experts' section has great success at helping those with previous IVA's get a mortgage and i would say with such a large deposit it should be too much trouble!!
best of luck

Ryan's response will be I am sure..each case is looked at on it's own merit. When the time is right approach a broker like Ryan who will be able to review the whole market and his own contacts...never say never!
