How long do records stay on their register? Mall I can find is "IVA records stay on the register for 3 months after the arrangement is withdrawn, completed or terminated"

Does this mean it's indefinite until one of the three happens?

Hi and welcome

Your IVA will remain on the register until you have completed or failed and it can take up to three months to remove it from there.

Thanks for your reply Niobe, we completed ours in Feb 2012 but still no certificate of completion from Cleardebt because of the great PPI saga. I just wanted to know as I thought maybe they drop off after 6 years like in credit agencies.

Welcome to my club Jamo.

Thanks Heretoday, I can see we're sailing on the same boat!! Quite frustrating must I say,

Thanks again Niobe, that confirms my fears. Do you know who views or searches the IIR? Do creditors use it or do they only rely entirely on credit agencies?

I think Heretoday has had to put up with some quite negative comments and accusation of whinging relating to this issue, on other posts.

As more and more people are caught up in the PPI saga, I suspect views will change quite rapidly!!

I think most of us can sympathise with Heretoday - he has been waiting a long time for his completion letter.
