Hi, I paid my full and final payment to Payplan back in April of this year. A sum of £21,000 paid but still have not received my certificate of completion. I have contacted Payplan several times but with no joy. At the time of payment they did day it would take 3 months but we are now 7 months down the line.

Hi Neil and welcome to the forum

What reasons are Payplan giving you for not issuing the completion certificate and closing your case?

Hi Melanie,

They are basically waiting for the VAT to be returned to them to go towards the IVA. I also have a PPI claim going through which is being dealt with by them. They have been good up to this point but I have have started emailing them weekly to push for a result.

Neil, did they give you any indication when the HMRC issues were likely to be resolved?

No information has been given to when the HMRC issue will be resolved however they are now saying that they are asking creditors to complete and then if additional funds come through they will also be paid. It does sound like they are trying to resolve issues but I am guessing there must be many people in the same situation. Red tape again strikes again.

They are a very large company, and it may be taking them a little longer to sort VAT matters out in house. Keep trying and hopefully they will be able to give you some clarity soon.
