Alby

appreciating the stress you are under now I would just say that whilst i have gone 6 yrs in my IVA, there are times when i think if i had gone bankrupt, I would have been clear years ago and moved on quicker than the 6 yrs ive just gone through.

I didnt go Bankrupt mainly as I felt the way you have expressed regarding bankruptcy, yet in reality entering an IVA is bankruptcy in another form. if this is the best option then look on the good side that you wil be clear poss in 2 yrs max

Easy for me to say I know, but perhaps bankruptcy may actually be the right amswer; not forgetting once the court date has passed, which you may even not be required to sepak at, then it will be a thing of the past and you can get on with your life.

Best wishes and good luck

Thank you for your kind words and congratulations on your achievement. I want to think there is a light at the end of the tunnel but its hard to see at the moment. It is mainly the shame of standing up in court and having my problems aired that bothers me more than actually being a bankruptee. I'm a coward I know lol! I dont have the cash but will try to save up that is another worry.

hi alby what ever you do don't offer payday company token payments , you will only be giving them your new bank details for them to clean your bank account out ? , phone them and inform them that if they contact you at work again your employer will have them for harassment and you will only be dealing with them in future by post , you said you probably could afford reduced iva payments ? put the money for the payments you would of made into another account hopefully you will have the fee in a couple of months ,

It is about time that payday lenders were required to search the Insolvency Register and not lend to anyone who is bankrupt or in an IVA.

The voice of reason Mel!

Ably if you are going to go BR stop paying all debts and save that money for the BR fee. It shouldn't take too long. Can you ask your son to help now he is settled? Good luck with it x

Really? Do you have evidence of that spla, because if that has happened then the authorities need to take this up. My trade association would be very interested in following this up if you can produce evidence.

Thank you so much for all your advice. This is another sleepless night for me hence the lateness. I will have a good read on the sister site perhaps there may be a person there who has been as silly as me? Or at the very least will know I feel and perhaps offer a little guidance. I have changed my bank account to stop the paydays but still dont know where i will find the money to pay for the bankruptcy fees. Ironic when I have no money spare to save. Let this be a lesson to all who become desperate enough to borrow from payday lenders Don't do it! Just looking for the light at the end of the tunnel now and i know its a long way off. The paydays dont know where I have moved house to yet and they continue to call me at work where I have no choice but to cut them short. I am scared and I feel so alone and lost.
