Good idea to put the money aside - don't let the calls get to you.
If you can go in online and remove numbers now then do so now so they can't get to you. Otherwise, if they do call then refuse to answer the security questions - they cannot continue if you do that.

Save the money up don't bother with token payments as you will get snotty calls regardless.

We didn't bother with token payments, just opened up a new bank account and put what we would have paid our creditors into that. It gave us a bit of a cushion when altering some of the direct debits from one bank to another and also in-case the works payroll took their time in switching accounts over.
The phone calls and letters will come no matter what, but we were in the IVA by that time. So send the letters to your IP and on the phone just tell them to update their records. It all stops after awhile when they realise they are getting no where
