Some help please, I am just over 3 years into my joint iva, i have just been succesful in claiming back 10,000 in ppi plus 18 months ago i received an 8k windfall which went into my iva, my iva was valued at 14k with debt of 46k plus my wifes at 42k, to date I have paid in 16k to my iva not counting the 10k just received which will be 6k after the commision.
Is there a chance my IVA would finish early and will i be entitled to any of this latest windfall, i have emailed my contact at payplan twice but not getting any reply,as always they don't leave you alone when they want money out of you or the ppi forms returning.

Neil - welcome to the forum - you will always owe all your total debt and fees till then end of the IVA - so your windfalls will increase the payments to your creditors - but unless all of the debt is paid back it will continue as normal

Contact them via email through payplan plus (previously Justabank). I've used it recently and got a reply within 24 hours.

We cannot really give you specific guidance with regard to your query Neil, as we don't have the detailed background knowledge of your case to be able to do so.

If you are getting nowhere in your attempts to contact the relevant person at Payplan, try contacting Gemma Burton - who is their forum representative. Gemma has a great reputation for resolving disputes, so I am sure she would try her best for you.

Thanks for the reply's
I thought it to be the case in regards to my payments and I do not have a problem with paying all of my debt back and would feel better the more I paid back. My case officer has finally replied suggesting I get in touch with EIF as they will be able to tell me what the breakdown is on the pay out, this does not sound right to me, is there some kick back to pay plan/ EIF even though they take 40% of any payment.

Good news you got hold of them Special One, the % taken is normal from some claims companies, your IVA company would get 15% normally. If you had done the claims without EIF then the full amounts would have gone into the IVA Pot unless PPI is excluded as an asset of your IVA (which it sounds like it is not) then you wont be able to use it as an early settlement or Full and Final as you own the full amount until the IVA is concluded.
Took The plunge and made the call, changed our family life and we have never been happier. Debt free and wont go back..... IVA was by far the best thing we ever did to teach us the real value of Family and money
