Good Morning,

I had a F&F accpted mid October and paid the necessary funds over the same day by bank transfer but have yet to receive any certificate to back this up. My IVA provider have been faultless up until this point, I have chased numerous times but only to be told something about a delay due to PPI.

I have made it clear I dont have any PPI I can claim and this was noted clearly on my forms before the F&F was accepted, so its not like there is any additional money to be had.

I just wondered was this normal practice, I just feel a little concerned I have no offical closure of my case and if something were to go wrong my F&F payment which is a considerable amount could potentially be lost.

Just want to get some views on this? As mentioned I have tried to get some information but have not really had any replies on this since November.

Many Thanks

Daniel

Hello Daniel. I'm afraid closures are taking a very long time due to reasons that you allure to. In fairness to your IP it still has been only 3 months. Even at this stage they are still, only just mind, within the usual time limit for closures. It seems you have a bit of a while to go. In some cases, IPs are taking up to 2 years to send out closing documents. In other cases, they drop on the doormat in weeks.

It will happen, you will just need to be even more patient.

Who is your IP?

Hi Daniel....i know it is very frustrating to know that your IVA is completed but not yet cleared from the register...it does hold you back somewhat.

As Artist says, closures are taking some time now to go through. If it were me i would be calling weekly and insisting on updates. If you have clearly said there was no PPI then your IP should be looking to close your case.

Who is your IP ?

Hi Daniel - I agree it is frustrating. Ours was cleared very quickly as it was completed before the PPI problems started.

It may be worth noting the IVA company on here as someone may have a contact or they may post on here.

Thanks for your response,

They are the IVA Advice Bureau,

I just get a little concerned that waiting without having closure if something went wrong its not complete and I have lost a lot of cash!! [:(]

Where do I stand with things like if I were to want to rent, at the moment im still in an IVA whereas the funds are just waiting I guess to be paid out?

Thanks again

Daniel

This is my company, and therefore I am concerned to note that you claim to have sent us correspondence which has not been answered. This does not sound like the way we operate, but clearly I will need to investigate this.

Can you contact me directly Daniel, as I cannot locate you on our system from your forum name.

I can absolutely assure you that the monies you have paid into the IVA will not be lost. We are a professional firm and handle all client monies in accordance with statutory requirement in designated client accounts.
Regards, Melanie Giles, Insolvency Practitioner

Hi Melanie,

Totally agree never had an issue but something does not seem right in the past month or so so just wanted to see if it was normal? It sounds like waits like this are common at the moment.

Will contact you,

Thanks

Daniel

There are a number of issues which might be preventing closure, but I would rather deal with you on this point directly rather than discussing the specifics of your case on a public forum.

OMG 4 months after the creditors meeting - and here`s us worrying that it`s been 8 weeks without getting the creditors meeting arranged !.
I never realised there could be such a long delay after getting approval. I`d also assumed they would only take the money at the last stage when everything had been accepted.
Danieln I`d be interested to hear how you get on if you don`t mind, as we are in the same process (with a different provider), and any heads up on potential pitfalls could prove useful.
