Is Noddle confidential or can creditors find out that you have joined and have looked at your rating ?
I was telling someone in work about this site and they said that their son thought he had a ccj as he had not paid off one of his debts from 7 years ago and he moved house and had not given them a forwarding address. He's worried that if he joins the Noddle site to see if he does have a ccj or anything else that his creditor will be able to see where he now lives and will ask for payment . I'm not passing judgement on him but i know what i think he should have done ( same as the rest of us and been honest and tried to pay it back !!) but wondered if anyone knew on here anything further about Noddle.
I imagine Noddle might update their records to show a change of address, once he registers. Creditors will, eventually, track him down and the debt will only be growing in the meantime.
I recently discovered that even Royal Mail sell on change of address details to creditors to enable them to track debtors !!!
My opinions are merely that .. opinions based on experience. Always seek professional advice.

I think it works something like this if it's (the debt) over six years since they have contacted him and the last payment made and it was just unsecured debt, then it would be difficult for them to pursue the debt, it being disolved under the statute of limitations.
I think but google it yourlsef to be sure, that the CCJ is also coverd under the same statute and it will also disapear from credit record.
What I'm not sure about if it's still held locally at the county court where it was registerd?
This is just stuff that I have picked up from this site but double check the facts just to be sure
Creditors do retain the right to credit check at anytime so if someone credit checks themselves and updates their current address creditors can find the new address.
A debt that has had judgement entered cannot become statute barred i am afraid

The right to credit check is written into the terms and conditions which are signed at the time of taking out a credit agreement, these terms are then transfered to the debt collection agency if they buy the debt from the original creditor.
