after you offer a lump sum as a full and final payment on your iva and it is accepted by the creditors and then when you actually pay the amount (full and finalpayment)to your supervisors of your iva how long does the closure normally take before receiving closure certificate?
Hi and welcome to the forum. The time length for completion certificates is varying at the moment in the world of insolvency. Which company are you with?
IVA final payment left the bank on the 26th January 2013...looking forward to a debt free future.
My IVA is with GT - we have Ben told that PPI isn't holding things up but I'm not convinced. I know that it entered the completion process in October, three months after the F&F payment was made and it appears the review took place in January. The timescale we had from GT in October said it takes between 17 and 20 weeks from review to CC so looks like anther few months at least. It seems to be a standard sort of time to wait if you're with GT at any rate.
Do IPs generally say what has happened with PPI claims or not? I dd have to give specific permission for one creditor to be contacted but that was in July or August so am wondering if anything ever came of that.
Paid F&F in July 2012 and received CC in July 2013
well i've not contacted them yet.im going to put letter of complaint in again.my first complaint was how they appointed eif to look at ppi wasnt happy with there response to that just admitted that letter was sent in error.im seeking legal advice on that issue anyway another story.
but just wandering how long normally takes before putting letter of complaint in.bit more ammo against them.i know they going to say hmrc issue.which does seem to be a load of crap.
but i am getting very concerned by the amount of bad reports on here about dfd.but i do think 12 months is way too long.especially now when offering lump sum as full and final payment all started in july/august 2011!!took until december 2011 for meeting of creditors to be held. my payment was made in feb 2012.still no completion.is it cheeky to claim compensation for this length of time??
also forgot to mention just before christmas received a copy of annual report to creditors? this cant be right 10 months after making full and final payment?
Re compensation.
The advice I have is that yes you are entitled to compensation. It is dependant on the result of negligence and that will be determined by any loss you have suffered by their delays. The point here is if you would have been entitled to personal PPI payments had they issued a cc in time.
Only the courts can decide that unfortunately not public opinion or a forum. If that were the case our IPs would be out of business already.
The annual report would have been due to be issued at the date of the anniversary of your arrangement, and is a statutory requirement if the case has not been closed by that stage.
