Hi all, I made my last payment into IVA in November 2012. I sent in PPI paperwork in early January 2013. I still have not heard anything.
I plan to move in with my partner in a few months and don't want this to cause any problems if by then I still have not received my CC. Can anyone advise me on this please?

Hi marsha1. Who are you with? I only ask as 3 of the 'big ones' Payplan, Grant Thornton & ClearDebt have or are seeking variations to enable them to close cases in lieu of continuing to pursue PPI. PP was first - last November and ClearDebt shortly after. Yours is 'early days' in the scheme of things - as they tend to say 3-6 months in normal circumstances. /have a chat with your IP to attain an update/progress report. Good luck. x
IVA journey started: 30th March 2009. Settled: 17th July 2012. Completion Certificate received: 13th March 2013. Breathe. x

Hi and thanks for the reply. I am with DFD and see so many posts on here saying that contacting them is difficult. I guess if 3-6 months is the norm I will wait a couple of months and then chase. I just don't want to put off my plannrd move which is August because of something I cannot control. I have paid up all monies due so seems unfair really.
Thanks again for your reply.

I have just phoned DFD and got through to a very nice lady. She said moving in with my partner should not be a problem if by that time I have not received a CC.
I also rang EIF who are dealing with PPI - they gave me a full update on my case and explained why things are taking a long time, such as the lenders only allowing them to send a limited amount of cases through. However she is going to email me with fortnightly updates, so here is hoping it gets sorted in 2013. It seems unfair that if I get a windfall it would still go into the IVA after I have finished my payments (not that I am expecting one)
Anyway - lets hope all who are stuck in this situation get there's concluded quickly and can then move on.
