Hi. A friend offered to pay to settle my IVA. How would the final balance be worked out ?

Hi. Ive been in my IVA for around 4 years and have just over a year remainding. A friend of mine has been very kind and has offered to pay the final year off within reason. Is this possible to do and how would they work out the final balance?

Welcome ....the best way is to multiply your monthly payment by the number of months left ...this will then give you a ball park figure. Depending on time left you ay want to reduce it slightly for less IP fees.

Your IP will give you specific advise where necessary.

Hi James.gk. Welcome to the forum. Great advice from lulu - as ever. Also, other mitigating circumstances for wanting to end early will help your case, such as job threat, reduced income etc. Good luck. x
