I made my last payment the end of September last year. I've had a letter illustrating that my balance is now zero, but had no certificate. Should I be concerned? My IVA was with Grant Thornton.

Nighteyes. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news but GT are notoriously slow at sending out CCs. I wish you well. Are all issues completed regarding PPI etc. That is one of the main reasons for delay.
Completed IVA - August 2012 pheeeeeeeeeew
Only my opinion - Nothing More Nothing Less

Hi and welcome.

I agree - I think you will be waiting a long time for that letter. Some people have been waiting for over 12 months.

Hmmm, okay. Good to know. And no, I made no PPI claims, I even signed a declaration stating I would not be making any claims.

Unfortunately they are still taking a long time to sort out the completion letters.

Why doesnt someone pass an act to make these companies have a deadline for such things. After all they've have countless thousands of payments made on time by their clients. Terrible.

That has definately made me laugh, in the grand scheme of things i've not been waiting long for mine, however it would appear it isn't going to arrive sometime soon and that's the bug in the ointment.

Kst i would keep emailing they will answer eventually, if you don't i would look at the complaints procedure and complain that is the only way things will get sorted now.

Hope you are well 12 months to go.

Xxx
Om shanti, namesté, good luck to all who are embarking on the IVA journey, it isn't always an easy one but the outcome is the best.

yes im fine orchid5

my biggest issue as ive posted before is having speant almost 6 years in my IVA, having little spare cash meant i rarely went out; now ive got spare cash im used to not going out and am becoming more and more bored. Friends sort of understandably got used to me always declining offers to go places and do things as i was skint but would never tell them this was the reason , so 7 years on friends have got used to doing their own things.

dont get me wrong ive spare cash now and am saving each month , but ive got used to not going out and just seem to be cabbaging ! god knows what im going to do with the money im saving, as im not doing anything to need spending it.

not quite a hermit yet but i may be on the way !!
