Congratulations on your pregnancy :-) sorry that you are having to deal with this.

Unfortunatley if this debt is from mortgage shortfall there is a 12-year limitation period that applies to recovering the principle debt and a 6-year limit applied to recovery of interest.

They did mark the loan element the month after as settled also tm43. Forgot to say that, we all know they are useless which is why we are paying for the mistakes via our taxes.

I'd sit tight too Wilky..congratulations on your baby news. I'm still paying the £75 a month. I am getting letters on a monthly basis saying thanks for the payment your account will be reviewed in 30 days.. so I can deal with that for the time being. I figure if i don't miss a payment they might leave me alone - wishful thinking maybe but the best I can hope for, for the time being anyway. Fingers crossed they don't contact you for the next 12 years eh!
