I have just opened a Nationwide card cash account online, it states it comes with a debit card but no cheque book or overdraft. First step along the IVA road.

That's the account we have its great, debit card accepted everywhere and can use at the petrol pumps. We opened a couple of accounts one for bills the other for paying wages in. The on line banking is really good I also have the app on my I phone for transferring funds between accounts.

I must admit, I have never used Pay at Pump - call me old fashioned but I always like to go inside! suppose I must give it a try though!

Just another quick question...sorry!

Our mortgage is with Santander and we have an esaver account with them - not being used at the minute. Are they linked to any other banks? I keep thinking RBS but im not sure if that went through did it?

Hi Flossom! Good luck with your journey! On another note have u any ppi you can claim for prior to entering any debt management solution? You really should try this as you may find your debt is reduced considerably and your circumstances and needs change! Not sure about Santander sorry!! :(

Hi Nutkins,

We have paid ppi on a few of our credit cards but they were all applied for online and took out the ppi ourselves. Dont think we would have a leg to stand on to claim any back to be honest. Pity as anything would be a help!

U really ought to look into this! U need to question whether they would have paid out should you have made a claim! If you receive pay from your employer whilst off sick then ppi would not be paid and therefore was not suitable for u!! Just one idea! It's worth a try :))
