I get a letter from EIF today after beginning the journey with them in Jan 2012 asking me to sign a LOA for them to chase a PPI claim on one of my credit cards as they havent been able to get the reference number from DFD - I find this ludicrus as its been over a year and my IVA finishes in July after 6 long years but reading everything on here about EIF etc maybe I should'nt be surprised - lets see how long this takes !!!!!!!
All paid up on 16th July 2013 - now the waiting game ....

Let's hope not too much longer for you now Joowoo. At least this is being dealt with within the term set for your IVA.

Hi and welcome Joowoo, if i could offer you some advice because you are so close to finishing, please keep onto EIF as they are notorious for sitting back and just letting things happen, hopefully in your case this won't take long as it is only one creditor, do keep in contact with them on a weekly basis for an update and good luck with your forthcoming closure. xx
Om shanti, namesté, good luck to all who are embarking on the IVA journey, it isn't always an easy one but the outcome is the best.

IVA COMPLETED August 2012, received Completion certificate 18.4.13.

Thank you both - orchid5 ive been following your journey with great interest and really pleased for you its finally done !!! I do actually have 12 creditors that EIF are working through and most have been settled one way or another but they have had over a year to realise that they could'nt get the ref number and I just think they should have sorted it months ago - but still it is EIF. Ive got my case worker's E Mail address and she has e mailed me with the amounts they have reclaimed so far as I requested but I will keep on at them - alos there are 3 companies in dispute so I dont hold out much hope for the near future but I will keep on at them. xxx

I must have been one of the lucky ones with EIF. I filled in their forms last April, (10 creditors), and it was all completed in October. Seems like they're swamped now.

That's the problem Sensible to be honest and if there are problems with the claims they don't sort them out there and then, like Joowoo i sent in my forms November 2011, chased them for approximately 6 months as they had done sweet nothing (could say something more impolite here) then one of my creditors off-set a debt last August and EIF only decided to challange this in late March 2013 after me having called then endless times and explaining that their shoddy work was a definate cause of my IVA closure delay, bothered, not them! I don't know why they are still being employed by IVA firms to carry out this work unless of course there is a massive pay back!

Fingers crossed for you Joowoo, hopefully that light at the end of the tunnel is getting closer for you. x

I met a representative from EIF the other day, who came to my firm to see if I wanted to engage them to act in my portfolio, and they are quoting an average 28 week turnaround from start to finish. So hopefully things will speed up for all of you now who have ongoing claims with this firm.

As far as I understand it, some of the IVA companies have already or are now arranging mass variation meetings to enable completion certificates to be issued even if the PPI relating to individual cases hasn't been sorted out. So at least that should mean that completion is not delayed by EIF procedures. I think that's the theory anyhow, whether it has worked out in any significant way in practice, I don't know.....

it may be there average but the amount of times they send forms to be re-signed is utter crap.got another one yesterday with my wifes name on as well, that shouldn't be on as I have "had her name removed 3 times from there records"told them shes not in iva or on my debts.its a joke.it does not bother me as I was in the variation before Christmas with payplan so they can sort it out after I finnish, but the way they work is beyond inept.
cc received 6th January 2014 now upwards and onwards

Give them a wide berth Mel (but then you already know that). You are doing great just the way things are. Bringing EIF on board will just add stress and delays which you certainly strive to keep to a minimum.
Last Payment made 04/12/14. Completion Certificate 25/7/15. IVA company GT. No Issues
