Hi I am going to have to do an IVa but 2 months ago ordered sofas from DFS and deferred the first payment until jan 2013. Apparently this needs to be included in my IVA as its a fixed sum loan agreement through Creation. My sofas are due to be delivered in 2 weeks and I dont know if I'll get them or not as Creation are also one of my creditors. Should I hold off until the sofas come and what will happen to them if I do an IVA after this? It says on the agreement I need Creations permission to enter into an agreement with creditors but I'm committed to thesofas with DFS and have no other way of paying

Hi
If the Sofas can't be cancelled then yes they will be included in your IVA agreement and guessing that they are a minority creditor it will not affect your IVA outcome if they reject

At least you'll be comfy for the duration of your iva!!!

Same thing kinda happened to me, ordered a new sofa from DFS also and three weeks after the sofa arrived my iva was accepted. Felt guilty as my sofa debt went into the iva, when i went and got the sofa i managed to get them to knock £250 off it. What with the IVA im basically paying a third of it back
