Through my iva I was told about a firm that looks into ppi claims and through these I had several successful claims. All the money won went into my iva . My iva has now finished and I have the certificate to say it has finished. Seeing as the people I had debts with have admitted mis-selling ppi to me would I be able to claim it back as in effect the money they have received is mine. To me I feel part of my debt in the first place is part their fault through mis-sold insurances.
I completed my IVA in November 2012. My CC came through shortly thereafter.
In February 2013, I approached one of my former creditors re a PPI complaint regarding one of my former loans. My complaint was upheld and I received a cheque directly from that bank in settlement.
I made a further complaint about a number of other loans, one of which was one of the defaulted loans being subject of my IVA. This complaint was partially upheld and I have received a series of cheques from the bank in question.
I am happy to be corrected on this point, but post the completion and certification of the IVA, I cannot see who of those old creditors would have any claim to any part of that payment or any other payments I may get in the future. Their claims were closed with the closure of the IVA...
