Yesterday I called GT for an updated on my closure. I have been waiting since Feb 2012 for CC. The call handler was polite and helpful. It was explained that due to the length of time I had been in closure with, the hold ups being PPI and VAT. GT had organised a creditors meeting asking if the case could be closed. But any PPI paid in and surplus paid to myself if it was over the amount I owed. The creditors had agreed this should happen![:D]
I would suggest giving GT a call and see if this is the same for yourself, if you have been waiting for a CC for ages.
I am not going to bash GT for the time taken so far, done that enough already, however suggest play this closure game their way if they want you to look at PPI just let them investigate it. I did and it seems to of speeded things up.
So I shall see if I get the email I was promise from closures and if the CC comes within 6 weeks.
Keep with it, keep going there is an end.

And then an email within 48 hrs see below.
I am writing to you with an update on the closure of your IVA. Currently your case is in the very final stages as we are in the middle of distributing all remaining funds to your creditors. This is the final stage, after which your case will be completely ready for closure.
I can confirm that your meeting of creditors has been accepted. We currently have a high volume of cases being sent out and there is a time-frame of four weeks in which you will receive your closure documents.
I trust this is satisfactory, please do not hesitate to contact us should you have any further queries
Keep with it, keep going there is an end.
