I know a few of you have had problems with DFD but I think credit where credit is due and I should highlight DFD positively as this is my experience.
My last payment to the IVA went out in May 2013. On Friday 5th July at 4.10pm Judith from DFD emailed me with my completion certificate. A fantastic start to the weekend and a head of schedule as she thought it could be the 8th July.
Personally I have had little contact with DFD throughout my IVA. They were excellent at the start when I was at my most vulnerable. We sorted out an I&E and this has been fine for us. I am not saying it has been easy as some months we have really struggled. My husband has worked a lot of overtime to help us save for the 'extras'. Our envisaged dividend was 49p but we actually paid back 60p. In the 5 years I have never spoke to an IP. The odd occasion I have emailed DFD I have had a prompt response. I emailed Judith at the end of the IVA to find out what happens next and she was straight back to me with the answer and everything she said she was going to do she has been true to her word. Thank you so much Judith. You are an asset to DFD.
We gave up our home for voluntary reposession at the start of the IVA and we have never had a problem with private renting. So anyone starting on this journey please do not let it put you off. Just be honest and all will be ok.
An IVA is tough but it has made my family stronger. For anyone considering an IVA I would say get advice and do it. I can now start looking to planning my retirement even though I am in my late 40's but before the IVA I thought I would not have a retirement to look forward to.
I have never posted much but believe me I have checked in on a weekly basis through the last five years for inspiration and support. Thank heavens for this forum and thanks to everyone who regularly posts.
Good luck to everyone who is in an IVA. You can do it [:D]
Hi Mrs T
Your post was just what I need to hear and has brightened up my day. Thankyou. I've got two payments left and am too with DFD and all of the bad posts do make you think the worse.
CanI ask how you contacted Judith and do you have her email? I may do as you have done in September. I will definately praise DFD if I get a speedy reply like you have done.
I've not really had any contact with DFD throughout my IVA and the reviews have been painless, my only small problems have been post not being received, which in reality is not DFDs fault, and the endless forms from EIF. Again somewhat out of DFDs control, and hopefully the last three sets of forms ive completed in May and June may mean that things are moving.
Congratulations and good luck for the future.

I see you have been provided with the link for Judith at DFD.
I did not have a mortgage to contend with which I believe must slow the process. I think my IVA was quite straight forward. I did not have any problem with VAT. I was concerned about EIF as they are quite useless and why DFD persist with this company is beyond me. However, as I was so sure I had not been misold PPI, I signed a form to say so and this form also said I would not try claiming PPI after my IVA was concluded. My creditors have been informed for their records so I don't try and claim in the future. Quite honestly I would not dare do so.
I almost feel guilty that the end of my IVA was so painless when so many people seem to be having problems.
Thanks Mrs T
Bet you have so many plans for your future
Looks like Ive got more ppi forms on the way, so for my case they dont seem to be listening to me saying I wasnt missold. hey ho for now, Im focusing on the extra £800 each month, my promotion will finally be worth it,
fantastic news well done. I had a similar experience with DFD they really were excellent and the final bits were wrapped up really efficiently. My IVA finished in 2011 and I'm glad to see that DFD are still doing such great work.
IVA finished June 2011
