Hi, we finally got our CC today. It's been a very long and hard process to get it finalised but we received it today! We are both so happy and start rebuilding our future within our control once more.

I have a question though, I would like to send a copy of the CC to our creditors to ask them to mark our arrangements on our file as satisfied, is it too early to do that and also what sort of content do I put in the letter, obviously a copy of the CC to go with it.

Any advice very much appreciated.

Thanks

I received mine last month but I am off the insolvency register. I first checked 2 weeks ago and I was off it but I have double and treble checked since! I thought that your ip was meant to send paperwork to your creditors. If you want to do it to be sure maybe check your off the register first, then get copies of your credit files.

I want to make sure it's all done. All it says is that they will send a copy of the final report to our creditors. I don't want to assume that they'll sort it out for us, I've learnt not to assume anything now.

Thanks for your help

Your credit file will be damaged for six years from the start of the IVA so once that milestone has been passed you will be fine. Your IP has nothing to do with updating credit files.

Hi Churchyn - make a note of when your 6 years is up and check your credit files then. Also check the insolvency register to see when your name has come off. Double check with your IP what actions they will be taking, if any, as some IPs differ.
