Really, really cheesed off with DFD now waiting for CC. 9 months now after last payment, and for the last 4 months my case has been 'top priority' in being resolved. Every time I call I'm being fobbed off and spoon fed with the same old bullsh*t.
Really wish I had gone bankrupt as I had no assets but the sales dept. of Clearstart ( as it was) convinced me that an IVA was the best solution. They won't even put me through to my IP to discuss the matter either. Absolute shysters! Fed up, p*ssed off, and about to go to the IP regulator if this carries on.

It is a shame that your own experience of the IVA is leading you to believe that you made the wrong choice at the outset. I wonder if the representatives from DFD who post on the forum could explain why this client is being denied the opportunity to speak with their IP? Is this a set policy within the firm?

There are a number of DFD reps on the forum these days - as Mel suggests one of them may be able to offer you some support and get this resolved for you.

There details will be under the experts section on the left "ask experts a question" - look for Matt Singleton and his email address is on his profile.

Good luck.

Hi all, thanks for the replies. I have had some correspondence with Matt from DFD, but I am being told other things when I call DFD. Two days they told me the VAT issue has suddenly risen again and that it is affecting my case. I asked to be either put through or given a direct number so I could speak to my IP but this request was declined as he is only on an "internal number."

Hi 502emu - an IP should be accessible to their client - being told their number is internal only is not a valid reason for not being able to talk to them. I would go back to Matt to see what he can do - it shouldn't be this hard to get answers about the completion of your case.

I understand some IPs are having difficulties issuing certificates but the issue for clients seems to be more around lack of communication and mismanaged expectations which could be overcome.

I'm sorry to read that you are left feeling the way you do about your IVA as for the majority or people an IVA is a great solution for them giving them protection from creditors whilst paying back as much of their debt as they can. This should never have been 'sold' to you, hopefully this is just how you are feeling on reflection considering the current state of things.

I hope you get some answers soon.

Hi Judith, I've emailed you the details. Hope you can look into the matter as Richard Savage, the IP who I'm not allowed to contact directly, is extremely skillful in keeping me in the dark.

It would be really helpful to DFD clients if Judith could confirm why it appears to be a policy that clients are denied access to their IPs? There have been several posts complaining about this recently.
