It has been 6 months since my CC and over a year since my final payment. It has been a long struggle and just as I clean one up another defaults surfaces which was not there. A bit of a tip do the free Experian and Equifax trials. As it was lengthy I paid for a months viewing. Santander have several times taken defaults off then a month later put them back on. They have paid me (A new cheque coming this week) a total of £325 in me complaining. HFC was the second worst the best was Shop direct. Guys keep checking your files for a least a year as the little b*****s keep trying to default you. Remember they don't ever want you to get credit so fight it. Experian rating 998 out of a 1000 still Equifax and callcredit to remove the final default then I'm clean great feeling. For those still in an IVA please keep at it I know its a long struggle but well worth the fight. I have never felt mentally and financial better in my life. We were all down there but the light is there guys. [;)]

Thank you markiboy that is good advice :-)and congratulations on completing your IVA and cleaning up your credit file.

If anyone has completed an IVA they should credit check themselves regularly to make sure any defaults are correct and do not manage to find themselves back on the credit file.

I have recently written a guide on cleaning up your credit file post IVA as we found we were getting a lot of queries about the subject and where to start, so we have implemented the guide in our completion packs, it can be a lengthy and time consuming process but one that is worth it.

It should not be taken for granted that your credit file will automatically be clear after 6 years.

Wish I had known that all those b***** letters. Royal Mail have had a fortune off me. Great news though Kelly.

We do indeed Foggy, we identified that it was an area of concern and one that causes a lot of confusion, we hope that the guidance and template letters help when it comes to post completion and cleaning up their credit files :-)

For Kelly O really. I have just made my final payment and I am waiting for my CC. I will no doubt be into credit score cleansing after that. Do youallow access for clients of other IVA providers to you completion packs?
