The forms also say that there is no need for a third party to make the claim for you they will just send the payments out automatically, this could be a nightmare for the IP's as they will have to make sure anyone who gets a payments forwards it on..

I have asked a question on another post, the payment is classed as compensation so is this a windfall?? if so we get to keep some..

Just another query about the resolutions within the Spotty letter with GT.

I understand that you are giving GT the authority to claim and keep any misselling or similar after receipt of your Completion Certificate, but how long does this go on for?

Surely they can only keep claiming up to the shortfall, if any, on your original agreement.
And also how is it going to work?.. does this mean that they will forever be wanting information from you in order to know what further credit you may apply for?
I am quite confused about it.
Thanks
Katy

Surely if GT read/monitor this forum (and I appreciate they are a huge company) they must see so many disgruntled clients. These are only a drop in the ocean of the many potentially out there that do not know the forum exists...why can companies to name just one 'Melanie Giles' complete on time despite the same PPI issues. Yes I further acknowledge size of company being a factor but ratio of staff to clients should also be demonstrated by the company itself to allow timely completions and STOP putting the lives of people within an IVA on hold after all their contractual payments and obligations have been made. When I read that the IVA is entering it's 8th year or similar, I despair for the poster...this is so unfair and as client's of said companies I would urge you to complain through the proper channels and see if this can be challenged and finally sorted for yourselves and others.
IVA final payment left the bank on the 26th January 2013...looking forward to a debt free future.

Morning Lesley
Thanks for the reply.
Yes in 2 months we will be entering our 8th year with no Completion Certificate.
We have been told by GT to expect this within 6 to 8 weeks of our variation meeting with GT (21st August 2013).
We were told 6 months ago after a full and final to expect the certificate by 6 months....June...July...August almost gone and still nothing.

If we have not received this Certificate by 2nd week in October (roughly 6 to 8 weeks) then with the help of my trusted adviser, the fantastic Pearl at FHDebt Solutions, we are going straight to the FSA.
Her company introduced us to the IVA with Unity in 2006 and she and others have remained a constant support throughout the arrangement and she intends to do so until we receive the Certficate.

I sincerely hope this is received for you and glad you have the support of a 3rd party to take this forward if you do not receive it. Fingers crossed here.

As you say the amount of disgruntled people on the forum going on about PPI is a drop in the ocean for, say, GT.. We see 50 - 100 fed up posts but GT have some 40 - 50,000 IVA's. so you can se why their not bothered...
Melanie Giles said just recently that the GT presence on the forum had dropped off..

I believe the forum is still monitored and that the usual mail system is still in force. However, and this is purely a guess, the staff at GT must be being pushed to the limit trying to cope with their bosses avericious acquisition policy.
My opinions are merely that .. opinions based on experience. Always seek professional advice.
IVA Completed 23rd July 2013 .... C.C. 10th January 2014

I was contacted by ICM on behalf of GT who were doing a customer satisfaction survey. I certainly got a few thing off my chest! Will they listen to feedback? I wont hold my breath but they seem to have taken some steps to try and understand what their customers think.

Like Melanie said, make sure you complain through the GT prcoess ( i got no response) then complain to the regulator and your local MP. I even wrote to David Cameron via the Downing Street website, probably wont do any good but it made me feel better.

The more regulator hears about these problems the more chance GT will get investigated.

I am after help...I made my last payment to GT November 2010 and am still waiting for my closure certificate. I have made numerous phone calls requesting call backs but have have been kept waiting for weeks. at this point i have had to call back and start from scratch again trying to ascertain what is going on. I made all my payments on time and was informed that the distribution of funds has been messed up and that it takes time to resolve this. i have then been told that i have to wait due to a mass variation and then PPI. Can anyone help. I have even gone to the financial ombudsman only to be told that they can do nothing with regards to IVAs. i had a reply from the supervisor stating that it may take at least another 6 months and when i have phoned for updates have been told to just wait and wait and wait.
Final payment made Nov 2010...How can i move my life forward when those running it are dragging their heals

Thanks Sharon. I am not too sure what the point is with keeping calling them, every time i call i get a different answer so request a call from the Supervisor or an update e-mail from the closure team but this clearly just gets ignored
