It does seem at times that an IVA as a contract is just one sided. We can't call breach to our IVA company as a failure is never going to be to our advantage and the loss is unproportionality stacked against us, and don't they just know it! If we don't reply to an email off them within a few days they are harassing you on the phone and sending letters threatening to fail the IVA, hypocrites.
Last Payment made 04/12/14. Completion Certificate 25/7/15. IVA company GT. No Issues

Loujess123 GT do work weekends - I spoke to them myself last Saturday so you never know, you might just get a call tomorrow (or not as the case may be!)

Contracts should never be one sided. There are always 2 parties to it.

In the instance of an IVA the 2 parties are us the debtors and the creditors. The IP supervises the IVA and ensures both parties comply with the terms of the IVA contract.

They can only call a breach if you have failed to comply with the terms of the IVA, if they threaten you with something just ask them as to what section of the IVA you are in breach of..

There is also a laid down guide as to how the IP must manage any breaches and the time scale the debtor has to remedy any such breach, they cannot just fail an IVA at their whim..

Reading the news on GT it seems the Company has a couple or three problems of its own at the moment. I would imagine PPI is the least of their problems.
I came into this world with nothing and still have most of it left!

It just goes to show that big is not always best and that using the smaller IP's is probably the best bet to achieve the best quality of service..

Does anyone have Karol Wilson's email address? I have sent a formal complaint to GT at the end of last week, but goodness knows how long it will take them to respond. Karol may be able to help me? Thanks.

Hi James, we use the customer services mail address and put only "IVA FORUM" in the subject line which ensures the mail is passed to Karol.

IVACustomerServices@uk.gt.com
My opinions are merely that .. opinions based on experience. Always seek professional advice.
IVA Completed 23rd July 2013 .... C.C. 10th January 2014

Until the smaller IP sells you on to the bigger fish. Then you're stumped.

Well I finally recieved my reply.

It answered some of the questions I have but sadly raised a couple more.

I luckily have been given a name to reply to, so I intend to use it and hopefully get the answers I need,

I have to give an example of the confusion raised - when is my last payment was the question I asked, I have been given 3 answers - all are different!!

Anyways, thanks fr the support and I hope that everyone gets the information that they need.

Good to have a contact name and hopefully your questions can be answered and clarified on the confusion.
IVA final payment left the bank on the 26th January 2013...looking forward to a debt free future.
