This is the worst part of the process, it really does get better to the point you cannot believe you would ever feel that good. My debt and creditors were very similar to yours and my IVA was accepted with no problems. Good luck and be positive xx
I know I am a good person, I just need to start believing it
Hi ordinarygirl123, Try not to worry yourself too much, we do understand how you feel but after the 2nd October you will feel such a relief. Be proud of yourself, you've done the hardest part, recognizing the problem and asking for help. Good luck to you.
D Day has arrived. Creditors meeting was at 10am this morning and I am beyond relieved to confirm that my IVA proposal was accepted!!! Didn't sleep last night with the worry, but need not have worried because the total faith i put into McCambridge Duffy and their experts paid off. I really can't put into words or text just how good a job they done for me. The service was beyond exceptional, from the very first call I had with a young lady Jenny, to my drafter Danielle and laterally Sean within the creditors Department. Every call and email was dealt with such sensitivity. They have proposed and got 'past the post' my IVA which now allows me to start organising my life and family in a way that I have not truly been able since i was a teenager.
I know that the next 5 years will be daunting with what they will bring but I can honestly say that I am going to embrace them and take control of my life and finances knowing that at the end of the 5 years I will be debt free!
For those that are interested there were a couple of modifications in relation to the IPs fees that can be charged, but that was it. All my creditors voted with the exception of Santander.
Finally, may I thank all of you kind hearted folk who took the time to post to my topic and send my way good luck wishes-this forum was (and is) the mechanism that has and will get me through this!!
Thanks
Elaine xxx
Well done, I would echo much of what is said above you have done the right thing, it wont be easy but stick at it and you will get there. I wish you all the best of luck.

Congratulations on getting it through . Like yourself I was worried sick about it and slept little in the nights leading up to the meeting . I slept like a baby after it was accepted .
One thing you have to remember though is that life will throw swingballs at you from time to time during the next 5 years which will once again make you worry about what you are going to do to keep this IVA up and running . Myself I lost my job , got another and then lost that after 1 day !
But whatever life chucks at you try and remember that your IP is working on your behalf and you must call them to let them know what is going on with your financial situation so they can plan / advise as necessary .
They are there to help and many do . I know mine does (Bridgstones).
I wish you all the best for the term of your IVA and know you will be sleeping well tonight !
