I sincerely hope that the closure department in GT are speeding up now with their work, as they must be receiving a large number of complaints. One also wonders whether many people are complaining to the regulators, as I gather regulatory complaints about IVAs are well on the increase.

We completed in February 2013 and are still waiting for GT to send in our certificate. I have telephoned several times and am sick of being patronised. We didn't start with them, the original Iva was with debtmatters who were very helpful. GT have been useless and totally unhelpful. Even the annual statements were always incorrect. We never hear from them except when they want us to claim ppi etc! I reported them to the FSA ombudsmen yesterday and STRONGLY advise anyone not to touch them with a barge pole.
We know of other people who have had IVAs and have had help and guidance along the way. GT are parasites- just my opinion!
Very glad we are all paid up but I just want my completion certificate, RX1 lifted and our names removed from the insolvency register? Not much to ask after what is now nearly 7 years!!
Sorry for the rant but I just want to move on.
Just read this thread and it makes me sad of what lies ahead. Indeed i have seen their service collapse over the past 4 years ive been with them. Im very surprised they arent apeparing on Watchdog, or the regulators havent issued fines yet...
Surely its only a matter of time the way things are going and the shear number of compliants
Very sad that people arent allowed to move on with their lifes despite adhering to the strict conditions of an arrangement.
finally closure arived today can finally get back on track i waited 20 months for these clowns to close hope yours doesnt take as long good luck keep badgering them i think its the only way to get them to move

i just recieved my closure letter from gt 20 months after my final payment i was held up apparently because when gt took over from my previous company they said there was a backlog then the dredded ppi claim and then wait wait wait
my problem is now ive got closure there is no mention of the ppi money on my closure letter my question is why and where is the money i know there was a reciept of £1600 so who has got the money

Please don't refer complaints about IPs to the Financial Ombudsman. You are wasting your time as they cannot hear them. Complaints about IPs relating to IVAs must be sent to the IPs own regulator or the Complaints Gateway at the Insolvency Service. Look on the Insolvency Service website for how to complain about an IP if you are unsure.
