IVA Payment protection.
Hi all, I've paid of my IVA 2 years ago but still haven't had my letter of completion because my IVA company is fighting my PPI insurance, they want to claim all the money back I assume. Is there any thing I can do, because it is really affecting my life, unable to get a mortgage etc. is there any thing I can do?

Hi Paul

As per my reply to another post:

From my own personal experience, I have found that if you are prepared to scream and shout and name and shame then there is a chance that your IP if suitably embarrassed may close your case earlier! This is just my take on it and good luck.
7 years after starting an IVA I finally received a completion certificate from ClearDebt

Does the delay in closure have something to do with PPI claims still being outstanding? And are ClearDebt keeping you appraised of their progress with this?

2 years is an outrageous length of time to have to wait.

Keep kicking and screaming until you get answers, to allow you to move on.

I have to agree with Paul that it is sometimes he who shouts loudest and I know it's not the right way but in some cases it's the only way. 2 years is far too long for closure in my opinion.
IVA final payment left the bank on the 26th January 2013...looking forward to a debt free future.

Hi Paul
I can sympathise with you on this, I completed my IVA via a Full & FINAL in September 2012, had a letter stating all monthly contributions had been received, had complied with everything, and although technically my IVA was still 'live', this was only to investigate PPI.
great I thought....12 months later, have had lots of PPI realised, but when I rang cleardebt today to find out why I still hadn't had this letter of assignment /completion documents that David Mond assured us ALL his clients would have after completing PPI paperwork, was stunned to be contacted by DRSP to state they were NOW going to investigate a further 11 POSSIBLE claims!!!!
absolutely disgraceful, I have requested Mr Mond himself contact me to explain why his own policy has not been adhered to, so will await this response with bated breath.
unfortunately, despite Mr Mond stating in a previous post on 13/12/12 that 'within the next 8 weeks, I fully expect that NO Cleardebt client will have their completion delayed AT ALL as a result of an investigation into PPI mis selling', and their promise of sending assignment letters to their clients, enabling the issue of completion documents, it seems that only those few who actually complain on this forum get any of these promises fulfilled.
I hope that you get somewhere with yours, as I for one am fed up to the back teeth of sitting idly by letting others dictate my fate

Contact Size 5 who posts here and I am sure you will get this sorted out. To be fair there have been few complaints about Cleardebt and I am sure they will be able to get your file closed down. Hopefully this is ajust a blip and you can get your certificate very soon.

have you had any joy yet Paul?
I was waiting for a call from my IP today, but, who'd have guessed?....nothing
these companies should be ashamed of themselves letting things get to this stage without doing something, or at least keeping their clients in the picture
hope you get some answers soon

Nothing yet, I'm really getting hack off with these people, I thought doing an IVA was the best thing to do, looks as if bankruptcy would of been the quickest and cheapest!,
