Best wishes - I think personally you have done the right thing and maybe in the long run things will turn out for the best. We all learn from our errors, no one is perfect !

Nice to see a sort of happy ending at least you are working and with Christmas just around the corner, that is a good thing. lets hope your mate can sort you out with better work.

Hi, worked for a arriva for 20 years and was a union rep, will you have a union rep with you? you say its a passenger without a ticket, (hopfully not friends you let on) any one that get on and walks passed with out paying is not down to yourself and it is arrive company policy that you do not get out of your cab.
as soon as you do they do not cover you should an assult take place. also should your manager ask why you did not confront the non payers, it was for your own health & safety. if you need any more help please ask a mod for my email.
IVA now over with and it was worth it.

Dave, if you do get a job as a coach driver, and you're good at it, and good with customers, you'll probably never be unemployed again.
Most coach companies are crying out for good coach drivers, they just arent coming through these days as many don't see it as a career.

If it's too late to turn back at Arriva then this could be the start of something better anyway.
