Hi

Blog of the week winner for w/e 01/12/13 is

Finally by Komakino http://komakino.blogs.iva.co.uk/

Summaries their IVA in this blog entry. Completion certificate received and entry removed from Insolvency Register.
Not always been a smooth ride from start to finish and a well written summary that shows that despite the problems thrown at you which can be out of your control, talking to your IP and using a payment break when vital to do so can assist in the final completion of your IVA.
Komakino acknowledges that it is not all negative in an IVA and reading the blog shows you that personally they have achieved a lot since the start of the IVA, with a wonderful achievement of stopping smoking and losing a significant amount of weight. Overcome a phobias too in the process! Komakino states it was the best decision that they had made in a long time and now life on the other side seems a lot better.
Having spare cash after the IVA can feel strange to us all and like a lot of us we are very reluctant to spend this. However, Komakino has managed to source a guitar and is back playing at an improved standard.
An excellent entry into the blog and well worthy of a read...do accept this £100 one4all voucher for winning blog of the week and we wish you all the best in your debt free future

Regards
Andam Davies

Congratulations and inspiring to read that despite all the set backs you have seen it thought to completion

Thanks everyone! I've had a great week with the credit file cleaning and this prize has topped it off. Believe me everyone...the end of the IVA does come. It's 100% worth the effort.

Hi

Blog of the week winner for W/E 5th Jan is

Thereisanend by Lesley http://thereisanend.blogs.iva.co.uk/

Lesley has updated her blog almost a year after completing her IVA. She is busy tidying up her credit files ready for when the IVA is scheduled to drop off in February 2014. By using a Vanquis and Aqua card for small purchases and paying the balance off in full each month she is in the hope it helps her credit rating in the long run.

Talks about another frugal Christmas for all apart from her husband who she commissioned a pastel portrait of their pet they sadly lost in October 2013. Lesley has had a mixed year out of her IVA and now domestic appliances seems to be playing up and a new washing machine had to be purchased just before Christmas and notes how nice it was to have the money for one the week before Christmas rather than relying on credit.

Well done Lesley, enjoy your £100 One4all voucher, please take a read of Lesley’s blog and do consider writing a blog yourselves as each month we choose a blog to receive the vouchers and next time it could be you!

Regards
Andam Davies

Hi

Blog of the week winner for W/E 10th Feb is Ourworld and – Welcome to Our World
http://ourworld.blogs.iva.co.uk/

A new blogger who found iva.co.uk a while back and after reading many posts on the forum decided they needed some form of financial help. Beginning with an insight of how they got to where they are now may seem familiar to some of us, a high earner with debts that were affordable. Following a cut in hours resulting in a much reduced income. Robbing Peter to pay Paul as a lot of us have done too.

Hours were spent writing figures for income and expenditure, they spoke to an IVA provider, a lot of research has taken place for both an IVA and bankruptcy with the blogger deciding to opt for the IVA as this would give a better return to their creditors.
Currently the proposal is being prepared and I’m sure we all wish them well on their journey to debt freedom.

Please accept the £100 one4all voucher as your prize for winning bog of the week and we look forward to reading your updated blog.

Regards
Andam Davies
