Has anybody had any recent experience of this? I filled in the security clearance form but there was no financial section do I never said anything about the iva. It literally just asked about my previous address and my parents & step parents. Would to fail the check because I didn't volunteer information that they didn't ask for?

Ketton,
I was advised to volunteer the information in the security clearance forms. They sent me a separate financial questionnaire afterwards. I know the SC form does not ask for that info but because I was in an IVA at the time I decided to tell them as they were going to find out anyway. Hope this helps.

Ok I didn't put anything about the iva on the security form before sending it as it didn't ask any financial questions and I hadn't found this thread at the time. Anyway they've now sent me a financial questionnaire which I'll obviously put the details of the iva on. Fingers crossed they don't look too badly upon it.

They won't look badly upon it as you are trying to get debt free and making positive steps towards this.
I was worried also but got through. They are going to reassess my financial circumstances when the IVA finishes in 2015 but I have been cleared until 2022.
