I have been invited to two assessment interviews in the new year for the role of a Team Leader with Sky and British Gas. Does anyone have any experience of applying for new jobs whilst in an IVA?

I am not sure if it is even worth going for the interview, as soon as they carry out checks I will surely be declined?

If they are going to carry out a credit check tell them beforehand about the IVA but if it's a DBS check (CRB) then you will be fine. Good luck and like luluj says go for it. x
IVA final payment left the bank on the 26th January 2013...looking forward to a debt free future.

Thanks, I am quite happy to discuss it with them beforehand, even though it is very embarrassing!

I would like to progress my career further now to put myself in a good position in 2 years time when the IVA has ended. I currently work as a Team Leader however, there is no further progression in the company I work for now so my only option is to go elsewhere or stick in the same dead end job until this thing has finished!

If it doesn't required a credit check then unless asked if you're in an IVA or arrangement with your creditors you don't have to tell them.

All the best and good luck. x

Is this a duplicate post? If so, I've answered on the other one.
