Hi Dean, it would be best to chat over the specifics of your finances with an Insolvency Professional, a list of reputable firms can be found on www.iva.com

You can also look around the forum to see who provides great service as well as those who do not.

If an IVA is suitable for both of you you will have individual IVA's, which might be made interlocking. There are no "joint" IVA's, but a pair can be treated for payment purposes as one.

It could be that an IVA isn't the best route for both of you and it's best to explore all options.
My opinions are merely that .. opinions based on experience. Always seek professional advice.

Hi Dean and welcome to the forum

The use of the interlocking procedure which Foggy refers to should only be used if one of you or both of you could not sustain an IVA payment in your own right. But your finances will be reviewed as a couple, and any disposable income will be allocated between you on a similar ratio to the contributions you make to the household, taking account of shared and personal expenditure as well.

Always best to chat through the options with an insolvency practitioner, so that you can determine which debt solution is the right one to follow.
