Hi Shaun. I was reading a reply you posted regarding obtaining a mortgage post IVA. You'd mentioned that there are options even if a credit file isn't completely clear. We have just completed our IVA early with a full and final settlement. We recieved our completion paper work on Friday. We settled early because we really need to move house. Our home is worth around £136,000.00 and we would have around £17,000.00 after it sells to invest in a new home. We have 3 small children and from a stability point of view we would much rather but than rent. We earn around £50,000.00 pa and have no other debt except our mortgage and secured loan which would be settled at the point of sale on our home. We have maintained our mortgage and secured loan throughout the iva and we are up to date with payments. Is there anyone who would look to give us a new mortgage? The house we are looking at is approx £190,000.00 and we'd have just under a 10% deposit (although we maybe able to secure more from family). Any advice you can give on this would be very gratefully appreciated. Thanks

I don't think that Shaun accesses the forum over the weekend Cat22, but am sure he will be around tomorrow to catch up with this.

Let us know what you find out cat22 as we are keen to sell our house as soon as iva finishes aswell as it is too small now for our growing family.
An IVA is a long hard road but valuable lessons have been learnt along the way. Now looking forward to enjoying a debt free future!
