On the DRSP website, they say the majority of claims are resolved in 4 months, then why are we 18 months in with no end in sight?
On the DRSP website, they say, "Through every step of the process, DRSP are fully committed to providing the best service possible and to ensure you are kept up to date with the progress of your claims. A dedicated case worker will deal with your complaints on your behalf and will be able to help you to identify any potential claims for mis-sold PPI.". Then why I have never had any update?
On the DRSP website, they say they their costs are 25% plus VAT, then why are we being charged 35% plus VAT.
Finally, if Cleardebt are truly independent, why are they standing for this level of service?
"A dedicated case worker will deal with your complaints on your behalf and will be able to help you to identify any potential claims for mis-sold PPI.".
In regards to that quote - it's mind me smile in a reversed kind of way. Who is my dedicated case worker?? I've never known since day one! Is it supposed to be the person that did the house visit 18 months ago who's phone number is now dead? I've never heard from that person since and during the visit they was more interested in selling me discounted flowers and getting my partner (Even though I was single at the time!) to trade in her jewellery gold for cash????
Shambles!
Does anyone from Cleardebt read this forum? Because I am sure we would all love to hear their response.
There seems to be many of us in the same situation. I also had my meeting in Dec 12, more paperwork returned to them last year after they trawled my credit report for old debts. I duely completed it as I didn't want to delay anything.
It beggars belief that it's taking so long. Trying to get updates from them is harder than getting blood out of a stone.
My iva is due to finish this December I am anxious that this will hold me up. I would too welcome a response from cleardebt as they made us go with DRSP if the first place with the threat of the iva failing!
Morning all. Thought I would add my name to this ever growing list of ClearDebt clients who are totally frustrated with the joke that is DRSP. Like many on here, I have never had a problem with ClearDebt, they have been brilliant from day one. However, they have let themselves down with their insistence that their clients use DRSP.
I too signed a rain forest of paperwork with a DRSP rep 18 months ago. I have signed yet more paperwork in recent months and never receive any kind of update on progress. I will make my last IVA payment in June 2014, and given the experience of others on here am not holding out much hope for a CC anytime soon. However, I for one will be on ClearDebts case daily to ensure that they are doing all they can to finalise my PPI claim with DRSP, and hopefully hand over the £500 they will owe me!
I too would welcome a response from Mr Mond on all of these complaints and how he plans to deal with this situation. However I believe all we will get is a defence of DRSP, who are clearly linked in one way or another to ClearDebt, although this will always be denied!
Guys I am now so annoyed with this situation, over the weekend I contacted 2 of potential claims DRSP are pursuing. They confirmed no PPI on accounts and advised I request in writing a letter confirming there is no PPI on either of the accounts.
I am hoping this will speed things up, If I can move things along with a 5 mins phone call and 3 line letter what the hell are DRSP doing.???
Buy the way got another signed DRSP letter to return this morning, they must at least be keeping Royal Mail afloat with all the DAMN paperwork everyone is having to return.
Checked the dates and it was about 18 months ago the DRSP rep came to my house, so maybe I am being a bit impatient.!!!!!
I think you've got the right idea. I too seem to be in a never ending loop of "further accounts identified which must be pursued", some 16 months after my home visit, the latest two I'm still waiting for paperwork to be posted to me after chasing twice.
Whilst in principal I would object to undertaking DRSP's work for them, I am also losing patience, and if a couple calls and letters to my creditors directly can, in any way, put this to bed then I'm all for it.
David has probably not responded as the matter has not yet been brought to his attention. I have pinged an e-mail off to him now, and you can expect an early comment I am sure.
Thank you Melanie for bringing this matter to my attention.
I am sorry for not responding sooner – I was unaware of this thread which is why I had not responded and not for any sinister reasons which Andy seems to be insinuating.
The number of complaints I have received regarding DRSP Limited (DRSP) have been minimal and the comments I have seen have been overwhelmingly positive – perhaps due to all of the comments being made within this thread rather than to me directly.
I cannot respond to each of you individually as I’m sure each of your circumstances are different and would rather give specifics than general comments but would encourage anyone with any issue regarding ClearDebt or any agents who have been appointed to work on my behalf, to contact me directly and any issue you have will be investigated immediately – my details and email address are within the Experts section.
That said, to answer those points which I can:
Matthewdcr – Please contact me directly and I will look into your own case personally and get back to you within 24 hours.
James_R – if you send me your details along with a copy of any unanswered correspondence and I will raise this with DRSP immediately.
Llamedos – whilst I appreciate timescales can be very quick for ordinary claims, claims within insolvency are completely different. I would imagine that your father-in- law did have the details of original lenders and also, as the complaints were issued at his own request, it is highly probable that it was known that PPI existed. As you mention, you were not aware you had any PPI on any of your accounts and as Supervisor my duty is to realise any potential asset. Accordingly, there will be claims DRSP have to investigate on my behalf which would never have been considered by your father-in-law. In many instances, claims are having to be looked at which have gone through multiple collectors hands and authorities are required for each to get back to whom the original lender responsible for the sale is – accordingly, the process for some will be protracted.
Mark1973 – I will happily use your example to DRSP if you can provide specifics.
Apologies if I have missed anyone – as above, please contact me and I will look into it.

David Mond
