No thanks Melanie. It was just a general enquiry. Thanks anyway though.

Hi all

Just wondering if anyone has had any success with their DRSP PPI claims through Cleardebt being settled yet, especially those starting around December 2012.

I settled my IVA some 6 months ago now but due to this ongoing issue, (now 2.5 years down the line) I still can't be given my completion certificate and have my case closed.

Kind Regards
Dan

Cleardebt seem to be one of the "good guys" and 6 months post IVA for a CC is not unreasonable at this stage.

I am sure that they will comment but it was interesting to note that in the Insolvency Service Annual Report delays in issuing CC's because of PPI by companies generally was noted as a concern.
IVA started March 2011, Completed March 2016 and certificate issued 11 days after final payment. It was not always easy but then some of the best decisions aren't.

PS - I don't really have any sympathy for IP's as a whole (but some individual IP's I have a lot of regard for) but this will not be helping http://www.dailymail.co.uk/money/news/a ... g-PPI.html

This is why we keep being hit by waves of new forms to fill in for "new" claims ..... every time this sort of thing comes to light the IP's are bound to try to get what was wrongfully denied the first time (few times ?!).
My opinions are merely that .. opinions based on experience. Always seek professional advice.
IVA Completed 23rd July 2013 .... C.C. 10th January 2014

I think people need to research issues like ppi and how different companies deal with them, when choosing a company to work with for 5/6/7 years during an IVA.

I bet if half the people knew they'd be held up for years at the end, they wouldn't go with that company. They should be given maximum timescales to resolve these issues i.e. 3 months, if they don't sort it, they don't get it...simples.

Companies don't publish stats or even that ppi is part of the process until you are in it.

I know, in an ideal world, you'd thoroughly research this forum before going into one. I did, although I still wasn't aware of the ppi issue!
