Lost completion certificate. GT said they would send duplicate but it has not been sent.

I completed an IVA with Grant Thornton in February 2012, approximately September 2012 I received my completion certificate which unfortunately got lost. I have called Grant Thornton on numerous occasions asking for a copy of the certificate and have been told that one would be sent in the post. I regularly check my Experian Credit Report and have been paying their subscription for many months in the hope that I would see my account settled on the report as I was told by Grant Thornton when the IVA was completed that they would forward the relevant completion certificate to Experian on my behalf. To date Grant Thornton have not sent me a duplicate certificate and although my IVA shows a nil balance on the credit report it is still showing as active. Exerpian contacted Grant Thornton on my behalf and was told that the account was still active!!
I have not had a great experience with Grant Thornton and again they have disappointed me with their Customer Service. I continue to pay my Experian subscriptions but feel that these should be refunded by Grant Thornton when they finally get round to sorting this mess out for me.
Has anybody else had this experience? and is there anyone to get the IVA removed from your credit report?

Check the insolvency register to see if you are still listed. If your name has gone you could show this to Experian as evidence that you are not in an IVA. It would be better though to get the certificate so try GT again.

That is at least a help so see what Equifax say. Hopefully GT will send a copy certificate soon and if you are emailing them enter IVA.CO.UK Forum on the subject line as this has often lead to speedier results.

Worth a try anyway.
