Officially, no. There is also the credit check to overcome, although a few have managed. If your IP discovers you using credit they could fail the IVA.

You can normally get credit up to £500 without permission and this would allow you to buy goods from an agent for example. As Foggy says you will likely fail a credit search but also get approval from your IP.
No, a catalogue is considered extra credit and is a breach of the terms of the arrangement.
Regardless of the £500 clause most arrangements state that NO further credit facilities at all may be taken with the exception of utilities. That means absolutely no credit - even for £10 - can be taken without the permission of your IP.
If it was for an essential item then a payment break from your iva may be the appropriate way forward ..in any means I would be seeking a definitive answer from your IP.
