Hi my IVA completed back in 2008 but today I've received a letter from max recovery some 6 years later saying I still owe money from a debt covered from my IVA. Its not on my credit file etc. The letter mentions my old supervisor bn Jackson Norton but they don't even exist anymore. Should I ignore the letter or send them a copy of my completion certificate.

Send a copy of completion and kindly request they stop writing to you as the debt was covered by the iva. I would also put in if they continue to write then you will have no choice but to report them to the ombudsman.

Max Recovery (or Max Power, as I prefer to call them) ought to know better. They cannot pursue a debt which was successfully dealt with in an IVA.

Follow luluj's advice and that should be the end of the matter.
My opinions are merely that .. opinions based on experience. Always seek professional advice.
IVA Completed 23rd July 2013 .... C.C. 10th January 2014

Thanks for the advice. I send a letter and copy of my completion tomorrow. Just really bothered me that they can do this sort of thing.

I must confess I am worried about Max recovery. I am due to make my last payment on 26th February. They are the only ones that keeping sending statements and they voted against the 12 months variation in lieu of equity. I get the feeling I am going to have trouble with them.

Seems to me they just take a chance that someone will pay. Its not acceptable that they can do this.
