Good morning! :)

We received our completion certificate on wednesday and to ouramazement we vanished off the insolvency register the very next day (thursday)!!! [:)]

We just want to say thank you to all on this forum as it has been an essential source of support through our IVA journey, before, during and will probably still be for a while after.

Thank you all so much!! [:)]

Now looking forward to moving on with our debt free life, An IVA is not easy but I do not know where we would of been now if we had not entered into one. Best thing we did!

Our IP has been really good through our journey too, helping us through difficult times.Thank you.
An IVA is a long hard road but valuable lessons have been learnt along the way. Now looking forward to enjoying a debt free future!

Hi Christabelle,

Great news [:)] I read back through your old posts to read a bit. Ore about your journey, I see you were with Harrington Brooke (HB). I see your last payment was in October and it took till April to get your certificate (6 months) and they said they had to call a creditors meeting. Did you ever find out the reason for calling that meeting ?
My Blog details, the route I took before IVA, how I choose my firm, equity release advice (year 4-5), challenging the CRA's keeping IVA on credit file once gone from insolvency register

IVA ended August 2015. Would recommend McCambridge Duffy

Congratulations and good luck for the future.

As I said I have said in an earlier post my name has come off the insolvency register but I have yet to receive my completion certificate. However my IVA has been for 72 months. I have also been accepted for a Vanquis card with a £1000 limit. There is no way I shall be leaving a balance outstanding but it will be useful to have for online purchases etc. I have to say their customer service has been very good and it is very easy to keep track online.

I also dread to think where I would be now if it had not been for my IVA. It has not been easy but now it is a great feeling. I have also learnt a very valuable lesson and keep a close track on my spending.

Thank you everyone!,

I will certainly keep popping back on the forum and helping if I can by sharing my own experiences

Longslog, I think it was just part of the closure process?,

Harrington Brooks have been fair to us during our IVA and helped us greatly when needed.

Just glad it is all officially behind us now and hope it stays that way! we also hope the clean up process goes smoothly too!

Just a bit worried about any of our iva creditors trying to chase us for the original debts now the iva is over??

I worry about this too Christabelle. I dread the thought of letters and calls suddenly starting up again although I am sure we are covered by the completed IVA.

You are covered by the iva. It takes a while to realise that it's really over!
