I would not borrow in anyway for a holiday it's false economy, have a holiday at home, many things to do for free, it's not what you want to hear but it will help your discipline as you start your iva

I agree with ashb ... don't rack up more debt for the sake of a holiday. The money you spend on this holiday could be needed next month for an emergency and not sure how your IP would then see it if an emergency payment break was needed.

The holiday is already paid for -- what is being discussed here is an overnight stay in a hotel en route prior to travel, as I understand it.
My opinions are merely that .. opinions based on experience. Always seek professional advice.
IVA Completed 23rd July 2013 .... C.C. 10th January 2014

I would have thought if it were the holiday it would have needed to be paid for before the Sunday they travel. Try and ask a friend/family member to help if it's just the hotel cost.
IVA final payment left the bank on the 26th January 2013...looking forward to a debt free future.

If it's the likes of a travelodge or premier inn, they often reserve the room with a credit card but you don't actually pay for it till the day, and depending on what sort of booking it is even if it is cancelled it still has to be paid for. So if this is sonj77's position they are in a no win situation?
getting there ....

Got there!!
IVA started 27/10/2010
final payment 27/10/2015
