Have a word with Shaun Vickery -- he has provided this to other posters in the past.

...but make sure your agreement specifically states secured loan,
IVA started March 2011, Completed March 2016 and certificate issued 11 days after final payment. It was not always easy but then some of the best decisions aren't.

Quite ... if you are in month 53 your arrangement probably says remortgage or extend and has no compulsion for you to take out a secured loan. That said, in some cases people prefer the loan option rather than an extension -- all boils down to the maths and the circumstances.

Also check your paperwork for details of the usually applied limits to lending (repayment no more than half the IVA payment, term not to exceed existing mortgage etc).

Some people like to settle early rather than extend for a number of reasons. They could be considering selling the property so settle the IVA first and then sell or they may be fed up with handing over bonus money overtime etc. They may just want to repay what they can afford so there are numerous reasons.

Regardless, Shaun is the only broker that I know of who can raise funds for a settlement and his company know what they are doing. Best of luck with the offer.

Once again many thanks for your valuable experience and I have already made contact with Shaun so let's see where things go from there.

Regards,
Mark
