Working days rather than calendar days?
IVA started March 2011, Completed March 2016 and certificate issued 11 days after final payment. It was not always easy but then some of the best decisions aren't.

Hmmm ... 28 days is a nice, round, 4 weeks, whereas 28 working days is 5, depending on where you put the weekends and any bank holidays that might get in the way, 35-ish days.
My opinions are merely that .. opinions based on experience. Always seek professional advice.
IVA Completed 23rd July 2013 .... C.C. 10th January 2014

Morning All
have being wondering if the creditor who has not made a claim fails to do so what happens, do they distribute his share amongst the rest of our creditors?
Also if he does not claim & they make the final payments can that creditor who failed to make a claim come after me for payment.[8D]

font size="1" face="Verdana, Arial, Helvetica">quote:<hr height="1" noshade>just a update had a e-mail from Evette,& one of our creditors has not submitted their claim for their share of the final distribution so they have served them with a 28 days notice to make a claim or to be excluded from the distribution of funds this 28 days are up 1st Sept . After this period is up they will make the final payments & issue us our CC within 14 days. Will keep you Informed as & when anything happens
So what they're saying is they hadn't bothered to check if all creditors had submitted a claim in the 5 years you have been In the IVA and only checking at this stage now ? Nice to know they were doing an annual review of what creditors had and hadn't submitted claims over the past 5 years, so instead of them chasing it over the past 5 years you now have to wait - I'd say that's pretty poor !!

I'd have thought it would be a good administrative trigger that when a person is so many months into an IVA that a process should be to confirm all claims have been received in accordance with the chairmans report - I wonder if other companies do this ? I hope it is not HMRC as the claimant as they are not bound by the 28 day rules and can take as long as they want (4 months in my case as I have just found out !).

My Blog details, the route I took before IVA, how I choose my firm, equity release advice (year 4-5), challenging the CRA's keeping IVA on credit file once gone from insolvency register

IVA ended August 2015. Would recommend McCambridge Duffy
