What do you do if you owe multiple debts but not sure who to and amounts, some are over 6years old, as dont want to do a credit report as creditors will then find my address. Think debts will be around £80k due to house repossession 5.5years ago, have dug head in sand but want to donsomething now

If you're trying to find out about your debts, it suggests you're trying to put something in place to fix it? If this is the case, creditors having your address shouldn't be issue for you - as you say, you've buried your head in the sand, now is a good time to dig it out.

Get your credit report for all 3 agencies, reconcile what you owe and speak to someone for advice. No matter what route you decide to take to resolve your debt problem, it doesn't take too long to put in place,in which case it's unlikely you'd get much harassment from creditors in the meantime anyway.

Better to bite the bullet and fix the problem if you ask me.

Hi Jason,

Creditors may be able to find out your address from an electoral roll check but do agree that you need to check the CRA's to see if you can find out who they are.

It may be that there are several options open to you - speak to one or two companies for some free advice. Andy Davie/Vincent Bond post on here and will be glad to help.

If you do want to sort this mess out, they will become aware of your address in any case -- and, if they are so moved, will probably track you down easily enough if they want to take any action.

Speak to a couple of firms and see what ways forward there are.
