variation report

Please could somebody clarify, I have received a text message from DFD today stating "good news we have drafted your variation report today, we will send a further text when this is ready to be sent out to you" . Without me getting my hopes up too much, does this mean what I think?
Final payment was made March this year.

I don't know -- all depends upon what this variation was about, and what the outcome was. Have you been advised of a variation meeting and the terms of the variation.
My opinions are merely that .. opinions based on experience. Always seek professional advice.

I've had no contact from them since April, no idea what they are talking about, I assumed as the text started with "good news" it meant the completion certificate was on its way!

I would contact them to establish what the variation report is ... also would check the text approach ... i personally don't like automated texts as never sure if they are legimate or not
