Do I have to wait for the iva to fall off my credit file before I even attempt to try and get another mortgage.
You will have to wait for it to fall off for most forms of credit although mortgage wise you could try contacting Shaun or Ryan who post on here and who have been successful in arranging mortgages for posters.
As to your record, check with all three agencies to make sure there are no defaults showing after the date the IVA was initially agreed, if so then write to those creditors asking them to remove them. Other than that, a mobile phone contract, your bank being up to date, all that will help.
