Hiya. Today i have made my final payment to DFD..i have settled about 6 months early due to a family member paying it for us. After making my payment i was told that my case may not go for completion until my original completion date (in 6months!!) As apparently they are busy. Is this normal? I wanted to have it paid off so i could have our IVA completed earlier.. i feel a little dissapointed now [:(]. Any advice would be great thank you.

No, this is not normal for most companies and I would make a formal complaint. It is unreasonable to hold up your life due to their inadequacies.
My opinions are merely that .. opinions based on experience. Always seek professional advice.
IVA Completed 23rd July 2013 .... C.C. 10th January 2014

The fact that they are busy is their problem - not yours.

They have obligations just as much as you did.
IVA started March 2011, Completed March 2016 and certificate issued 11 days after final payment. It was not always easy but then some of the best decisions aren't.

Hopefully Laura, the new DFD rep can pick up on this and assist.

I've altered the title of your thread to mention DFD. Hope this is ok.

I hope it gets sorted for you. The point of a variation is to end your IVA early! Hopefully DFD will pull their finger out...Let us know how you get on?
